This type of track is specially made for several types of surfaces and conditions, like mud, snow, sand or even gravel. If you use your ATV year round –whether it is recreationally, for hunting and fishing or for agricultural work-, a 4S track is probably the best choice for you.
You will also have to take into account the specs, and especially in regards to the tracks’ surface. Take note that the dimensions of the surface will greatly influence the flotation capacity, and that a smaller surface also generally translates into lesser performance in deeper snow, for example.
